A Beautiful Spring Wedding at Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek

If I could photograph this wedding over and over again, I absolutely would.

From the sweetest couple to the incredible details and one of my favorite venues in Central Texas, Amelia and Calvin's spring wedding at Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek was one I'll never forget.

Between the beautiful natural light pouring through the large windows, the stunning architecture, and the creek that's perfect for portraits, it's truly a photographer's dream.

The Sweetest Couple

The best way I can describe Amelia and Calvin is simply this, they are genuinely some of the sweetest people I've ever met.

From the moment I arrived, they were so welcoming, funny, and easy to be around. At one point during the day, Calvin even told me he had told Amelia that I seemed like the kind of person they'd actually be friends with, and honestly, that meant so much to me.

They were incredibly laid-back and truly enjoyed every second of their wedding day. Instead of worrying about every little detail, they soaked everything in, laughed together, spent time with their family and friends, and just had fun. That's exactly how a wedding day should be.

A Day Full of Beautiful Details

One of my favorite parts of this wedding was all of the incredible details.

Their wedding colors were absolutely gorgeous, rich greens paired with the prettiest magenta accents that made everything feel so vibrant and elegant. Every detail felt intentional, and you could tell how much thought had gone into creating the day.

One thing that made everything even more special was knowing that all of the floral arrangements were made by Calvin's mom. She did an amazing job, and the flowers tied everything together perfectly.

As a photographer, I love when couples give me lots of beautiful details to work with, and Amelia definitely delivered. Some of my favorite detail photos I've ever taken came from this wedding. One of my absolute favorites was a ring shot I created inside their wedding cake later that evening, It's still one of my favorite ring photos I've captured.

One detail that I thought was so creative was their guest book. Instead of having a traditional book for guests to sign, they had everyone sign vinyl records that were displayed with a record player. I had never seen anything like it before, and I thought it was such a fun and meaningful way to remember everyone who celebrated with them. It's the kind of keepsake they'll actually be able to display in their home for years to come, and it fit their wedding style perfectly.

From a Catholic Ceremony to Casa Blanca

The day began with a beautiful Catholic ceremony before everyone made their way to Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek for the reception.

As guests arrived, they were welcomed by a live mariachi band, which made the celebration feel so fun and full of energy. It was such a unique touch and instantly set the tone for the evening.

The reception space was absolutely beautiful. Every table, every decoration, and every little detail fit together perfectly. It was elegant without feeling overdone and reflected Amelia and Calvin so well.

And I have to mention the food because it was incredible. They served Italian food for dinner, followed by a beautiful wedding cake and cannolis which happen to be one of my favorite desserts. Safe to say I was a very happy photographer.

Golden Hour by the Creek

One of the biggest reasons I love photographing weddings at Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek is, of course, the creek.

As the sun started getting lower, we snuck away for sunset portraits, and they ended up being some of my favorite images from the entire day. The overcast skies gave us soft, even light, and the creek created the perfect backdrop for romantic portraits.

Those quiet moments away from the reception gave Amelia and Calvin a chance to simply be together for a few minutes, and you can feel that in every photo.

Dancing the Night Away

Once we got back to the reception, the dance floor stayed full.

One of my favorite things to photograph is people genuinely having fun, and Amelia and Calvin were no exception. They danced, laughed, celebrated with their favorite people, and made the most of every minute.

Calvin was emotional throughout the day, especially when he saw Amelia walking down the aisle and again during their private last dance. Those moments are the ones that remind me why I love wedding photography so much. They're real, unfiltered, and impossible to recreate.

To end the night, everyone gathered outside for a fun bubble exit. It was the perfect ending to such an incredible day.
