Some moments just stick with you, and Connor and Hannah's proposal at Austin Country Club is definitely one of them.

A few weeks before the proposal, Connor reached out to me because he was planning to propose to Hannah and wanted someone to capture it. We started talking through ideas, and about a week before the proposal, we met at Austin Country Club to do a walkthrough. We figured out the best location, went over the timeline, and planned where I could hide so Hannah wouldn't see me before Connor got down on one knee.

When June 1st finally got here, we arrived early to get everything set up. We laid out a blanket overlooking the water and placed a beautiful bouquet that Hannah's friend Madison had made just for the proposal. It was simple, thoughtful, and the perfect setup.

To keep everything a surprise, Hannah's brother dropped her off at the country club. Watching her walk down toward Connor without realizing what was about to happen was so exciting. The second she realized he was proposing, her reaction was priceless. She was completely surprised, and getting to capture those genuine emotions is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

After she said yes (of course!), we spent some time taking engagement photos around the proposal spot before heading up to the event center at Austin Country Club.

Connor had another surprise waiting there—a champagne toast to celebrate! They popped a bottle of champagne, toasted to their engagement, and we captured a few more photos while they soaked in the moment together. It was such a sweet way to slow down and enjoy the excitement before sharing the news with everyone else.

One thing I loved about this proposal was how much thought Connor put into every little detail. From doing a walkthrough beforehand to having Hannah's friend make the bouquet and planning a champagne celebration afterward, everything was intentional and centered around making the day special for her.
